Our newcomer was born in a basketball family since his father Lionel was an NBA champion back in 1977. So, the future of Austin was predicted by this fact. He went to play basketball in college, and all his four years in Minnesota university his game was improving year after year. He started with 4,5 points in 17 minutes in his first season and finished with 12,4 in 33 minutes in his last. He led Minnesota to winning National Invitation Tournament which is the most prestigious post-season tournament in American college basketball. Although being named MVP, he wasn’t chosen in 2014 draft, and he moved to Europe.
Hollins started his professional career in France with Denain where he spent two seasons. He then moved to Finland to play for Kauhajoen Karhu. After one year there, he moved to Germany spending two seasons between Gießen 46ers and SC Rasta Vechta. He now has a new challenge in his career at the age of 27.
The guard played in all 40 games of the last regular season in Germany. In 30 minutes on the court he averaged 16,5 points, 2,7 rebounds and 2,3 steals per game. He was the top-stealer of BBL and is placed in top-10 among the best scorers.
