Vasily Karasev: "At the end of the match our aggressive defence won it"
Zenit head coach Vasily Karasev summed up the 114-110 win over Khimki.
This was Karasev's best match after injury. Is he back in his best shape, or will be even better?
It's hard to tell. We know that he has missed a lot because of injury and his throwing arm is still of concern to us. We have no easy games for him to use to get in shape. But now he is playing. Every basketball player who plays get better with his throws, you need to feel that confidence and I hope that everything will just get better now.
Today, Zenit had a great scoring percentage. Is this the result of winter training?
It's hard to talk about some of our training, because we were playing in different places and doing different things. I think that today's percentage came from confidence and our defence, it's from there our fast game started, everyone got the ball, made their passes and from that the percentage rose.
