— Lokomotiv played some very aggressive basketball, and they only continued to be more aggressive throughout the course of the game. Maybe that’s why we were able to play confidently in the beginning of the game, but by the end we were trailing pretty strong. We probably weren’t ready to play against that kind of press for the whole game.
—What do you think made them play so aggressively?
—I think that there were two factors at play. First, Loko is fighting to be at the top of the standings and of course they just took third place from us in the league, and they aren’t going to let anyone try and take that away from them. Second, they wanted to make up for their large loss to UNICS in the Eurocup.
—What does the final score say about the game?
—We weren’t much weaker than them as for the components in the game, they were shooting better than we did, but if you take the match on the who,e I think that we were fairly even, and then at the end we really gave sat back a lot more. Plus we were giving our young players some more playing time to get some experience, so that’s what accounts for the big loss at the end of the game.
